Portsmouth United Methodist Church welcomes you every Sunday at 10:00 AM.
Sunday School is available for all children up to 5th grade following the Children's Message.

Upcoming Events ​

• Clements Receipts – just a reminder that the church benefits financially when you turn in your Clements Receipts (all locations accepted). Please put them in the envelope outside the church office (NOT THE FELLOWSHIP HALL)

• Coat Collection – Peggy will be collecting lightly used coats for men & women to be donated to St. Paul’s for the Community Meal.

• Christmas Wreaths – Susan Walker will be selling Christmas Wreaths for the Church. Please sign up for a wreath on the sign up sheet by Dec 1st.

• Christmas Caroling– Calvary UMC will be Christmas Caroling on Sun, Dec. 14 at 4pm. We will starting at the Common Fence Community Center at 933 Anthony Road in Portsmouth. We will be having Hot Chocolate & Cookies following caroling around 5pm

• Christmas Giving Tree 2025 - The Christmas Giving Tree will be up and running from Sun November 30th to Sun. December 14th. The Giving Tree is a mission project of PUMC which provides assistance to local families during the Christmas season. This year we will be assisting 7 families with a total of 17 children. If questions, please contact Elizabeth Cochran 864-1156). If you would like to help please:

  • Take a tag from the tree with a child’s requested gift item

  • Sign your name and phone number beside the number that is on your tag (on the clip board by the tree)

  • Purchase the gift item, wrap it and attach the tag

  • Bring the wrapped gift with the tag attached into the church by Sun. Dec 14th and place it under the tree.

• Christmas Eve Service with Communion– December 24th at 7pm

  • Nov 30 – Build your Advent Log

  • Dec 7 – Christmas in Italy

  • Dec 14 – Carol Sing Program/Tea and Cookies

  • Dec 21 – Pageant/Cocoa and Cake
